Bio:

Daniel San Martin is a Ph.D. thesis student specializing in scientific computing with a current research focus on computational fluid dynamics, numerical methods and high-performance computing applied to forest fire modeling. His academic background includes a Master of Science in Computer Science Engineering from Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, Chile and a degree in Civil Computer Engineering from Universidad Católica de Temuco, Chile. He has taught several computer science courses including computer programming, scientific computing, introduction to engineering, among others. In addition to his teaching experience, Daniel has been an active participant in research initiatives. He has contributed to implementing numerical algorithms and leveraging the capabilities of machine learning to address scientific problems in engineering.
